8 tanks of gas, 5 stops at McDonald’s, and a ridiculous amount of munchies later, I’ve successfully completed my first international road trip. If you read my Minnesota Travel Diary blog post, you know that I slept through a large portion of the drive to and from Minnesota. That was true of the drive from Toronto to Chicago as well (sorry Ty). We went to Chicago to explore the city, visit a few friends, and also to attend a wedding in Minnesota. Continue reading

older, I am realizing how little time we actually get to hang out as a
family. So we always take advantage when we all get a little break to
kick back together. This year I was lucky enough to bring my boyfriend
along, which was fun – since it was his first time in Miami. It was also
our first trip with my family – did we survive? Yes, yes we did.
family actually really likes him, (I swear they would rather have him
as their kid than me) and we all ended up bonding and becoming closer as
a little unit. My family is SUPER cool – but really, they are actually
all amazing people and I am lucky to call them mine.
Let’s start with plans for the future. HAHA I don’t really know what I’m doing yet but I have a few holistic goals I have set myself, not only for this year, but for the future. To travel more. Try new things. Get organized. Go on a few adventures. See what happens.
I usually do a ton of shopping when I’m in Miami, but this time I restrained myself and kept it low key. Our trips always include a visit to Sawgrass Mills, an outlet mall housing over 300 retailers, near Fort Lauderdale. It’s the seventh largest mall in the US, so you can see why we spent the entire day there. Here’s what I got:
