If you haven’t seen someone rocking a Teddy Bear coat yet, you must’ve been living under a rock OR something. I don’t know. They also goes by ‘Sherpa Coat’, ‘Faux Shearling Jacket or ‘Pile Jacket’. For purposes of this post I will be referring to them as Teddy Bear coats, but just know you can type any of those names into reliable ol’ Google and they’ll come up. Honestly, I’ve become quite obsessed with them and am doing everything in my power not to splurge on a dark brown one.
Before I tell you why you absolutely need one, let’s have a little story time, shall we? Here’s how I came to acquire this lil Teddy Bear Coat. I was browsing for the perfect coat both in store and online, and while I saw so many that I loved and caught my eye, I didn’t want to spend a ton of $ on a coat that I wanted to wear more casually. I had found this one on the H&M website but it was out of stock, so I went into a location nearby to see if they had any. The sales guy didn’t know what a Teddy Bear Coat was (ahem, see above^), but told me he had one “Sherpa Coat’ left. Long story short, the one he found me was a small, and immediately after trying it on, I knew it was love at first wear.
Ok now that I’ve told you that, here’s why you also need a Teddy Bear coat:
- They go with literally EVERYTHING. Denim? Skirts? Beanies? Overalls? Sneakers? Yes to all of the above.
- They are 100% guaranteed to make your girlfriends a little envious and they’ll ask where you got your cute Teddy Bear Coat from. Boyfriends/men in your life however may not appreciate the jacket as much, and will ask questions like ‘Why do you need that?’, with a slight stink face. My boyfriend can attest to this, as he absolutely despises my coat.
- They keep you warm. I know we Canadians have been having a few warmer temps in these past few weeks (#bless), but it’s still cold! When you don’t want to wear a heavy parka, but still want to dress warmly, grab your teddy bear coat and you’re good to go.
Convinced yet? Good. Run out and buy yourself one now so we can be twins. Or shop some down below, whatever’s easier.
PS. You may or may have noticed that I’ve been absent from the ‘ol blog for about two months. I’m writing a post about it the near future, so don’t worry your pretty little heads.
