I’ve been in love with California ever since I can remember, and this little romance started back when I was just a little tyke. I’ve visit family there at least once a year since I was 4 years old. The sunshine state has easily become one of my favourite places to go – the weather obviously being a huge determinant. I dunno, there’s just something about the LA that really makes my heart infinitely and uncontrollably happy. And the biggest reason I go so often? It’s hard to be bored. Yes every place is an hour away from each other (you need to drive) and the traffic is almost unbearable BUT IT IS WORTH IT, trust me. You have beaches, unlimited coffee shops, cool restaurants, gorgeous hiking trails, palm trees and of course the weather – it would be almost selfish to ask for anything more.
I went to California with my sister + her boyfriend, as well as my boyfriend. We were a little better at planning than last time (shoutout to Liz and her never-ending Google Doc), so we managed to squeeze in as many foodie spots and tourist attractions as possible. I apologize in advance for the absurd amount (3) of the Griffith Observatory – it has become one of my all time favourites, especially after watching Emma and Ryan dance around on screen. My other top contender would have to be the sunsets – LA has some pretty outstanding sunsets. Watching the sun set on the Santa Monica skyline had to be one of the best moments of the entire trip. Until next time, LA LA Land – stay golden.
Anyways here’s what we got up to this trip:
Places: Rodeo Drive, The Getty, Alfred’s Coffee Beverly Hills, Laguna Beach, The Griffith Observatory, Eggslut Los Angeles, In-N-Out, Hollywood Hills, Gjelina, Santa Monica Pier
