Long weekends are the absolute BEST aren’t they? Best thing since sliced bread, if you ask me. You cut out the dreaded Monday morning and double the Sunday mimosas w/ brunch routine. And they’re the best way to ease back into a work schedule after a much needed vacation. I just so happened to book a family trip to Miami, right before Victoria day weekend – so this worked out just perfectly for me. Because you know, I just wasn’t *quite* ready to jump back into a a full work week.
My family takes an annual vacay to Miami every year so we can enjoy some bonding time. At this point Nathan (Liz’s boyfriend) and Tylor are part of the family and are essentially the sons my parents always wanted. Exploring the city, lounging around the pool, trying out new restaurants and tanning at the beach are the essence of this trip, as is of any tropical vacation. If you want to see what I brought with me you can check out my vacay essentials post here.
Apart from hanging out with the family, this trip was also a sort of anniversary for me. Last year’s Miami recap was when I first started taking this blog seriously. To be able to look back and see how my writing and editing process have improved & how much I’ve learned is amazing and makes me really proud. Whenever I get stuck for inspiration or feel unmotivated, seeing how far I’ve come always gets the creative juices flowing. Anyways, you came here for Miami trip inspo, so let’s get into it shall we?
