Let’s start at the beginning. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always had pretty long hair. Up until 2 years ago, when I was desperate for a change and chopped it all off. I had a blunt bob for a while, but recently I’ve been missing my long locks. So I started to grow it out.
Well, for whatever reason, one side started growing out really nicely and healthy, but the other side? It didn’t grow as fast, and became really damaged. Fast forward a few months, and I ended up with one side a couple inches longer than the other – something I’ve never heard of/thought could happen. One side long + super healthy and the other short and damaged. Not cute. It had to be fixed, obviously.
A few weeks ago, I got my mane (can you even call your hair a mane if it’s short?) cut so I could even it out. My hairdresser recommended waiting on coloring it + some TLC in the mean time. So you can imagine how excited I was to get my hands on the Ultimate Repair line from GLISS Canada. Never, ever have my locks felt so soft. My current hair regime consists of this trio, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The Ultimate Repair products have a ton of Keratin in them – exactly what your girl’s damaged strands need. After the shampoo and conditioner treatment, I like to use the Express Repair Conditioner for extra strength and reconstruction. A few sprays, and instant softness! And the whole system is working – my hair is slowly growing, and evenly too (FINALLY). I’m beyond excited to watch my hair become stronger and healthier with the help of the Ultimate Repair line.
Here are a few of my hair care tips to help maintain those luscious locks:
- Wash as seldom as possible – but often enough that it doesn’t smell/get greasy (duh) Retaining your natural oils is really important!
- Dry shampoo is your friend – use in lieu of washing.
- Air dry your hair when you can.
- Brush your wet hair with a wide tooth comb to prevent damage.
