You guys, I have never been a morning person. Leaving my bed to actually wake up was not something I would ever look forward to. And when that alarm would go off, it’d be snoozeville for an hour or so until the last possible minute. Well, I guess getting older does change things because mornings have now become my favourite part of the day. Continue reading
Tell me we’re going on a trip and I’ll be the happiest camper. Traveling is easily one of my favorite things to do (isn’t it everyone’s?), so planning a weekend getaway on my birthday meant I could stop crying about the aging process and get excited instead. 4 days in New York, full of brunch spots, coffee shops, and touristy things; planned to perfection. But you know what? Continue reading
Let’s start at the beginning. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always had pretty long hair. Up until 2 years ago, when I was desperate for a change and chopped it all off. I had a blunt bob for a while, but recently I’ve been missing my long locks. So I started to grow it out.
Well, for whatever reason, one side started growing out really nicely and healthy, but the other side? It didn’t grow as fast, and became really damaged. Fast forward a few months, and I ended up with one side a couple inches longer than the other – something I’ve never heard ofContinue reading
I just came back from a very, very cold NYC and although it was a terrific birthday trip, to say I seriously missed my car during those 4 windy days is an understatement. Part of what made the trip so exciting was that I had packed every single thing that I needed. This coming from a girl who 1. is a very last minute packer and 2. always forgets something. So what are my travel essentials? Lets talk. Continue reading
Today I turn 25. Honestly, this number makes me feel so so so old. Guys, I’m officially in my mid-twenties, meaning there’s no more getting away with sneaking in the ‘early’.
As nerve-wracking as it is turning 25, I’ve never felt the need to reflect back on my life more than I do right now. And here’s what it looks like:
Getting older is scary for me because I’m not where I expected myself to be at 25, which I knowContinue reading
It seems like mother nature’s been trying to fit all four seasons into one week. One day its 13 degrees, the next its -11. C’mon weather gods, get it together. Me? I’m so ready for spring. For those who follow me on Instagram, I’m sure you’ve seen that I talk about it every other other post. It’s never too early Continue reading
As a kid in high school + most of university I was way too distracted and as a result, very unproductive. I loved going to school but the actual work part was the part I could live without. Finding excuses not to do my work was my full time job. And I was good at it too. I was that kid who could Continue reading
I love road trips. And not only because I never drive and have the luxury of falling asleep for 90% of the ride. What’s so great about them, you ask? Night driving. Car games. Stopping for snacks and people watching. New music to listen to. And finally (but most importantly), the excitement of the arriving at your final destination.
Happy 6 days until Valentine’s day. Since most of us know January as the month of paying off all Christmas bills / getting yourself out of Christmas debt, the thought having to buy yet ANOTHER gift mid feb leaves our bank accounts cringing.Continue reading
As much as I’d love to say that we’re outta the woods with this whole snow thing, I feel like this past weekend has been a strong indication of what’s to come. A freaking ton of snow. Winter can, however, be a wonderful time for so many reasons (Christmas, hot chocolate w/ marshmallows, curling up in front of the fire with a good book, etc), but one thing I absolutely, positively, without a doubt, cannot stand is the dry skin that comes with it. Number one enemy. Thanks, but I’d rather not have the 2 inches of my exposed leg looking like scaly snakeskin. And that’s why I’m going to tell you how I (try to) avoid dry, flaky skin during the winter. Continue reading
